Anyone been on or is on Fluoxetine antidepressant?

I started this over a month ago and it's been great, i can't tell any major differences but I guess I am all around happier and more laid back.  However -- this last month since we have been TTC I could never get an orgasm. An my sex drive was really low which is not good when you're TTC.

Just curious if anyone experienced the same and if so what you did about it.  I'm debating getting off it - sex is just not as fun without the big O.  I would stop as soon as I get pregnant anyway.

    I just came off of it after 2 years. I experienced the same side effects you are describing. I also felt that maybe it wasnt helping my anxiety as much anymore.

    I am now on Celexa.

     p.s. I took it during my first pregnancy, my OB said it was ok to take, since then the warnings are to not take it in the 3rd trimester or breastfeeding. My son spent 10 days in the NICU and the Dr's believe he was withdrawing from it. He had low muscle tone, very low blood sugar, and other issues.

    That's the generic name for Effexor, isn't it? If so, that's what I'm on, and that's exactly what happened to me. ZERO drive, no more orgasms. Everything else is going pretty well so I'm very hesitant to switch. Almost all of the other side effects have subsided for me so I don't think I want to start all over again with a different med.

    Yep, that's the generic of Prozac. I'm on a really low dose (10 mg a day) and I haven't noticed it effect my sex drive or ability to orgasm at all.

    I was taking it for anxiety and had the exact same problem. It was also making me hungry all the time so I stopped it, it just wasn't worth it to me and we were planning on getting pregnant and I'm pregnant now.
    Child #1: 6 yo DD Child #2: 2yo DD

    It is the generic for Prozac. Maybe it is the generic for others too..

    It's generic Prozac. 10 mgs is a subclinical dose, which is why you aren't experiencing the side effects (they're dose-dependant).

    Wellbutrin is your best bet.
