Baby Names

What do you think of this boy's name?

We have an Irish last name so want to give our son an Irish first name. We love the name Caelan. What do you think?

  • I would struggle with the pronounciation.
  • I like it!  People might have a hard time with the spelling but I think that name is worth it.
  • I think I like it, but not sure if i'm pronouncing it properly in my head?

is it see-lan? or kay-lan? or am i way off?

  • I know a little boy named Caelan, it's alright. I, personally, think it's a little feminine...sounds like Kaylin and I'm not sure people would think "boy" when they hear the name, but it suits my friends little boy just fine. But then, my son is Kiran, which lots of people think is "girly."
  • Is it pronounced Kay-lan, See-lan, or Say-lan? or something else?

It might be ok, I just wouldn't know how to pronounce it at first.

  • like it, but I do have a friend named Kailynn.  But your spelling definitely looks like a boys name.
  • I like it, but prefer Callum. (DS goes to daycare with a little Phillipino boy named Caelum.)
