I know you can't prevent them, that it's all genetic, and I don't have any yet, but I'd still like to do the best thing for my skin while it's stretching. What kind of stretchie lotion do you recommend?
I have a Palmer's Motherhood lotion that's for before/during and after... I also Have A few Avon lotions that are targeted at minimizing the appearance of them (And they do work!)
I use Palmer's stretch mark cream I bought at Motherhood. It might not help, but it makes my skin feel nice.

I use 100% natural shea butter. I use it for everything though, not just to "prevent" stretch marks. It works wonders on DH's dry cracked feet and my dry ashy elbows. Highly recommend.
I used a combination of St. Ives Collagen body lotion and Elemis Japanese Camellia Oil (Victoria Beckham used it so I figured why not? haha). I still got a buttload of stretch marks but I hope it'll make 'skin recovery' easier.
If I get pregnant again I am definitely buying La Mer body cream....it's super super expensive (which is why I didn't buy it this time) but supposedly a miracle worker.
I've been using Palmers Coca Butter for Stretch marks, and it's awesome (don't really like the smell that much bc its the "unscented" so its got a wierd smell to it, but that goes away after about five min). I had stretch marks on my thighs from early on, and it's helped stop more from forming.
Yesterday, I was given Palmers Coca Butter Oil, WHICH I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH. Out of all the lotions/oils/and what not I've used, my skin has never felt so amazingly soft. Also, the itching I'd had on my belly quite periodically, has sessed since I started using it early yesterday afternoon!!!!! It was nice going to bed and not having to itch myself to sleep.

I was using some kind of nice (expensive) oil that my sis gave me, but I ran out and don't remember what it's called so now I'm using some kind of Palmers
Cur?l? Life's Stages Nurturing Comfort? Moisture Cream for Pregnancy & Motherhood...and when I misplace that, then I use Avon's Moisture Therapy Intensive Extra Strength Cream.
Palmer's Massage Cream for Stretch Marks. ?I put it on before bed and after I shower. ?It really helps with itching. ?No stretch marks thus far but my mom never had them either so I think I just got lucky in the genetics dept. ?
I've used Bio Oil from the beginning and maybe am just extremely genetically lucky, but haven't gotten any tummy stretchies (just a few more on my ever growing hips).
I'm using Bio Oil and I really really like it. It feels great and smells great. They make some pretty strong claims about preventing scarring and I have no idea if they can support them, but I'm willing to try it and so far so good.
I used a combination of St. Ives Collagen body lotion...
This. It's not too greasy and has a nice scent. My MFM also recommended hydrocortizone cream since stretch marks are partially inflamation so it eases the itchiness and pain.
I am almost 35 weeks and have no stretchmarks yet. I use vitamin E gel daily on all my expanding areas (butt, boobs, belly) and so far it seems to be keeping them at bay! We'll see what happens in the next few weeks, when the baby starts really growing.

I've been using the Palmers Tummy Butter and have not gotten one stretchmark until today, when I noticed I have one way down on the side of my hip....where I haven't been using it. So it's definitely worked for me!

This
A coworker/mother of 2 recommended Mother's Friend
I used Mama Bee Belly Butter from Burt's Bees religiously -- but I have stretchies on my ass_and hips, soooo.....
?
I got the Alba cocoa butter lotion. Not greasy, smells good, not over cocoa-buttery.
Everytime my stomach gets tight feeling I throw it on.
I bought the Bella B Tummy Honey stick but found it too greasy/gritty.
Now I'm using Bath and Body Works Lay It On Thick shea butter cream (unscented) and like it a lot better. I still have a lot of stretchies, though.

FYI: Baby Oil = Mineral Oil, and that is terrible for your skin.

This. I love this stuff! I do the exact same thing. Put it on as soon as I get out of the shower. It has a nice clean smell to it too.
