Even if this was a difficult customer, which she was NOT difficult, there are ways to handle situations. Often times, it means sucking up your pride and giving the most sincere sounding apology you can muster up....go OVERboard. I've done it many a time and have never lost sleep over it....in fact, 99% of the time it creates a life-long customer and sometimes, even a friend! Welcome to customer service 101.
So outta control.....an apology and professional demeanor goes a long way and would have been all they would have needed in order to avoid all of this. Instead, threats and degrading accusations (all of which are completely absurd) were thrown carelessly at a potential customer who only expected to be treated as such and with respect as most customers would.
