When did you give DC a blanket to sleep with?

I'm sure I am late to the game, but I just offered DD a blanket tonight. It's a knit blanket, so I feel a little more at ease. I don't know why I'm so paranoid about her not being able to breathe. It's just so darn cold now. (BTW-DD has been sleeping in a sleep sack since she was 4 months old)

So, when did you offer your DC a blanket to sleep with?

He had one in his crib from about 8months on....

He got a lightweight knit one around 7 months. It is now his favorite blanket and he can't sleep without it. Although it mostly gets used as a pillow and never stays on his body too long.

I think she was around 10 months. She doesn't sleep under it- just next to it.

She is still in a sleep sack and will be for a while since she is all over the place when she sleeps. The ones I got her this fall have holes for her feet. When it is cold she wears footie PJs and the fleece sack.

Around 9 months. It's a crochet blanket that was a shower gift.

I was completely paranoid about blankets in his crib, so I don't think I finally put one in there with him until close to 1 year ... maybe 10 or 11 months. He used sleep sacks or just footed pj's (depending upon the temperature) before that. I cover him up when I put him to bed and again before I go to bed, but he usually doesn't stay under it all night. A lot of times he ends up using it as a pillow.
