My doorbell rang at 2 am this morning, and I opened it to find her hunched over and in tears. Her husband was rushing her to the ER and they wanted to know if I could stay in the house in case their 3 year old woke up-of course I didn't hesitate. But as soon as I walked in the door she started cleaning up the house, trying to make me snacks, wanted to give me a quick tutorial on thier entertainment system in case I wanted to watch tv, fluffing the sofa pillows etc.
um, no, get yourself to the hospital woman! Then on the way to the hospital they kept calling and asking what I wanted in return for helping them out, did I want any food, etc.
Turns out she had a raging UTI that had infected her bladder pretty bad, but she's fine now. I have never seen someone be that polite, I've had a pretty bad UTI, and holy hell I would have just been crying and screaming words through clenched teeth.

Re: My poor neighbor
Sadly I can picture myself doing that. I was cleaning up my house before we left for the hospital before I had Logan because I knew my parents were going to come get our dogs and I didn't want it to be filthy.
