I feel like I should have known or something. I feel so stupid!!!

I got DD in to the doc this afternoon and she checked her out. And incidentally, in the last month since she was to the doc last, she only gained 1 oz of weight. 

It explains her appetite being non existent, why she's falling all over the place all the time and why she's not napping as well as I remembered.

 

Btw, any tricks to get her to take the pink liquid antibiotics? And someone tell me it doesn't stain because the first spoonful (which I had to give her on a measuring spoon because it didn't come with a dropper or a little cup thingie) got all over her new shirt...

you can try mixing it with something for her to drink. that's what i've had to do with amoxicillin.

Glad you found your answer.  Hopefully she will get the antibiotics in her and be all better.  I have taken DD to the pedi so many times thinking it was an ear infection and it wasn't.  I wish I could tell without taking them.  I hate being "that mom".

This happened to us a few months ago. Asher was cranky, not sleeping well, not eating well, etc and i figured teething or just being a 1 year old. Sure enough, awful ear infection. Its so hard to tell, please dont feel stupid.

My "trick" for meds is to give them while DS totally entranced in TV. Thats not much of a trick, but its the only way he'll take them without crying and spitting them out.

I hope she feels better soon!
