I bought the Nikon D40 a couple years ago but want to upgrade. The camera has been a good beginner camera but I am ready to move on to something I can have more control over (and that I don't have to buy the AF lenses with the motor built in to them since the D40 doesn't have a built in AF motor). Not sure if I want to stick with Nikon (I only have 2 lenses that came with the camera so it's not like I'd be out some good glass) or switch to Canon (or another brand). Don't want to spend more than $1k.
And go...

The problem with the D60 like the D40 is it can't AF unless you have an AF lens with the motor built in.
The D60 is being discontinued.
Canon Xsi all the way.
LOL. Uhm...no. We should switch to Canon because MEE says so though. Didn't Sissy buy a Canon too?
