So, um, yea - it is three days until the girls' party and I haven't thought of what food to serve.
My mom is having it catered by a local restaurant. They typically do finger sandwiches and sides. What kinds should I get? They can pretty much make whatever I want. I know I will get a fruit salad (yummy, yummy) for the kids.
Re: What should I serve?
I had Emerson's catered as well. Finger sandwiches, fruit salad, pasta salad, and maybe a few dips will be good.
we are doing hotdogs, fruit, dips/chips...still trying to figure out what else if anything
Not sure if you can order this, but here are the DD and kid-friendly things I made for DD's birthday party:
- Spanish tortilla (onions, potatoes, egg & parsley)
- Sweet potato spoonbread with goat cheese
- Cornbread
- Roasted chick peas
- Banana cupcakes
We had:
A big sandwich tray (i think turkey, italian, tuna, and veggie)
potato salad
asian slaw
fruit salad
chips/vegies and a few dips
cupcakes
For me, its never a party without guac
:-)
