Winter boots?

What are you gals doing for winter footwear for your LOs? We live in Mass, so I'm thinking we need some boots, but I'm not sure what's good, etc. LO is going to be a year old in January, so he'll either be walking already or will likely start walking during the winter. What do you recommend?

Do you have a stride rite store near you?

I'd take him in and see what they recommend. 

They tend to be pricey, but you might find their merchandise elsewhere, like at Marshalls or TJ Maxx.

I've just been researching the same thing.  DS will probably start walking in the winter and I'm sure we'll be playing outside in the snow.  His snowsuit doesn't have the little bootie covers.  Since he'll be a new walker I was thinking about getting Robeez boots.
