So, we've picked a girl name (not ready to share, too excited, too new), but of course we don't know if we're having a girl. And DH wants a boy, and since we already have a girl, I'm not as girl-happy as I was with DD (whose name we also picked relatively early). Of course, the more girls the merrier, I say!

Anywho, I'm just so geeked with have this name picked out. I'm trying not to over-analyze it though. It will be prone to mispronunication and mispelling, and I'd hate to do that to a kid. So...of course we may be back to the drawing board eventually--but I'm excited right now

(tries not to start hoping too much for a girl so we can use the name)
Re: Trying to detach myself from our super-awesome girl name!
I agree. We need the name.
LOL....it's so funny how much we analyze names eh? Although I am totally curious as to what your name is, I'd keep it a secret...the last thing you need is a bunch of people picking it apart.
PS...I'm a teacher, and I have a few kids with 'hard to pronounce' names...it takes me one day to 'practice' and I can spell/pronounce all of them!
Hey, if I could learn to spell this students' name in a couple of days:
Qua'lea'shai
then I think your (future) daughter's teachers will be able to do the same with your name. :P
I'm not a teacher but I was going to say the same thing. Once people learn most names, they remember and it's fine. Now, what IS it?
