Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

There is a leaf in Henry's eye... leave it alone, right?

We just played in the leaves (again) and I was throwing them up into the air. Well a tinnnny piece is in the inside corner of his eye. I really dont want to try and get it out. Leave it alone, it will work itself out, right?

(I also just found a leaf under his onesie on his belly (under two heavy shirts too!) when I changed his diaper!)

  • OMG--that siggy pic could totally go in to that gap call thing.

For the leaf---what if you maybe took him in to the bath and splashed a bit so maybe it would get his eyes wet.  I'd be concerned for allergies mainly---only because DS is so sensitive to that stuff.  But I'm sure it'll pop out in a jiffy.

That is what I was going to say. Allergies are a concern with my DS as well. If it doesn't seem to be bothering him, I think I'd try to leave it alone.

  • I'd wash it out. Try with just plane water.

  • Do you have any eye wash on hand?  You can buy eye wash at walgreens for a couple bucks and it is more soothing than plain water.  I would use eye wash and flush it out.
