I love my in-laws, but whenever they are here I feel like I'm under a ton of pressure. My house is never clean enough (and it doesn't help that they came a day early so I was majorly rushed through my cleaning.) My mil always acts like super mom, so she always does the dishes right away before I have a chance too. She does all of my laundry (even the stuff that doesn't have to get done) and she irons DH's shirts and does the fancy laundry stuff. She also organizes my house while she works. She cleaned up my laundry room, my garage, and some of my kitchen cupboards. I appreciate that she's trying to help, but it makes me feel like I'm inadequate. And then I feel bad when I take a break for some me-time (like right now) even though the boys are asleep and all my cleaning is done. And it doesn't help that my period came last night and I'm tired and crampy.

Can we switch for a visit? My MIL doesn't even clean up after herself and I have to wait on her because she won't do anything herself. And she throws wet towels in the closet on the floor.

My MIL is the same way except she tends to critizes but trys to make it seem like she is kidding....EXCEPT she is NOT kidding and thinks no one can do anything like she can for her son..Good Luck with the visit
