No, I don't think you are. I used to see my mom every couple of months and now if she goes longer than 2 weeks without seeing DD, she calls and whines. I hate it. She is a little obsessive with her.
I am missing what you are meaning by this - I don't understand your concern. Are you saying that you don't know if the REMEMBER how often they are with you? I am confused.
I think they just love your DD and being with your family and were thinking about you. Are they retired? Do they have a lot of time on their hands so whereas a few busy days fly by to you it may seem much longer to them...jsut a thought.
Eh. Before I got pregnant/DD was born, we maybe hung out with my ILs a couple times a month. Now we usually go over a few times a week. Before if we went a few weeks without calling/stopping by, they'd call to see what was up. Now sometimes we start getting funny texts from my FIL after just a few days, joking that we need to change our custody arrangement or something similar. It doesn't bother me. They love DD and love hanging out with her and are just used to seeing us more often now.
I think the wording was a little weird, because it does sound like they hardly ever talk to you/see you, but I'd probably just roll my eyes. I wouldn't honestly be concerned. If you don't want to see them more, just say something like "it's too bad weekdays are so busy, I'm glad we get to see you every weekend." and let it go.
Re: sorry to DD but just remembered...
