I've been considering the idea, but when I realize that exercise and dieting are involved I usually decide that having some extra padding around the middle will be beneficial to breeding and go back to eating my cheeseburger.

I have a lot of time before TTC, but I plan on taking full advantage of the time to get my body ready! I have about 35 pounds to lose before I want to TTC.
I have a goal to lose 35 lbs before TTC. It's an incentive to me... I have to have something to make me stick to a diet.
This is exactly what I thought too. I failed miserably. And actually, with the stress of TTC and being diagnosed with IF, I ended up gaining about 10 pounds. Oh well.
If it helps you conceive then that's a definite bonus.
Being overweight can negatively affect your fertility. ?For me, I want(ed) to get in the best shape possible so I can have a healthy pregnancy and birth. ??
I have PCOS and losing weight can help you ovulate on your own. I lost a lot of weight, but it never really helped for me. I got pregnant with Clomid and Metformin. Before TTC #2 I would like to lose more weight.

It is actually a coincidence that my first round of P90x is ending right around the time we are going to TTC, but I am glad that it has worked out this way.
I guess I have this internal voice telling me to that I would have a smoother pregnancy if I got into better shape. This makes me want to lose weight and get in the best shape that I can be in. It's not so much about the weight ...but the health issues that can come along with being over weight that concern me.

Yes, that definitely makes sense. I guess I just find it odd that some people wait until they want to have a baby to make those life changes. But like PP said, if you need motivation to lose weight/be healthier, etc I can totally see how it would light a fire under you.
ETA: I am totally on team TW and rooting for you obviously. I am not really adressing you specifically, even though I did quote you. It may have been better not to quote you, but I don't want to change it now.
Re: Is anyone else trying to get baby ready body wise?
Ditto.
Umm... I did before I first got pg. ?Now, I'm getting my body healthy so that I can get pregnant again.
I didn't lose Katie because of my weight.?
Me either. How about get healthy just to do it?

Exactly.
Of course I am super healthy sans my uterus issues, and I'm still not KU. So take that for what it is...
