Probably a dumb (seasonal) flu shot question

DD's next well-child visit isn't until December.  Should I take her to get her seasonal flu shot before that? 

(I have a call in to the Dr.'s office but you all respond much more quickly and I am an instant gratification kind of a gal!)

I would take her in before that so she'll have the protection when flu season starts.

 

ETA: if this is the first time she is getting the shot, she will most likely need 2 shots, 1 month apart.  either way, even after the shot, it takes about 2 weeks to build up some immunity.

Some stats-- it takes two weeks to protect against flu (so get that shot early!)  and also it protects you up to 70%.
