I realize you miss him. AND it's exciting for you to see him being that we live out of town. BUT he still needs a nap & it's not very fair to keep him up & then give me a sh*tty, crankyass kid in the evening because he said he "didn't wanna" sleep when he was with you.
I realize grandparents are for spoiling but FREAKING A. My near 3-year-old needs his sleep or *I* end up losing my mind.
(and it's FREAKING 2:30! LAY HIS CUTE BUTT DOWN FOR A NAP & LEAVE THE DAMN GROCERY STORE!!!!!!!!!!)
Vent over. Phew...breathing deep...
Re: Dear Grandparents...
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know ...

Slug 'em upside the head with a pepperoni.
Hang in there. Early FILLING dinner, bath, early bedtime, tomorrow will be better.
I'd still whack'em though.
Sorry, that is the benefits of being a grandparent...and I am one. You'll most likely have your shot at it someday. lol
Fortunately, my DS can go a day or two without a nap, as long as it's not an everyday thing.
