Fertile Myrtle? Seriously? wtf

Today I was out shopping with my mom. While we were out, I decided to pick up a few things to make a gift basket for a lady, whose baby shower I'm going to miss.

So, Mom and I are in the baby department, I'm picking out some cute little things, and we're talking about when DH and I are planning on starting. All and all, its a perfectly reasonable conversation until I say:

"Well, we're going to be starting to try next summer, but who knows how long it will take"

and then she says:

"I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, You're a fertile Myrtle!"

I gave her the side eye and changed the topic.

 

W.T.F mom? Why would you say something like that! Especially to some one who's never been pregnant.  Ugh, now she totally jinxed me.

How in the hell would your mother know if and how fertile you are?  I think I would pee my pants if my mom said anything like this.  I'm guessing that she got pregnant easy and thought that this automatically means you'll get KU right away?

I think I would have died with laughter if my mother said this too me. My next question would have been what makes you think that mother??

She's probably basing it on everyone else in the family like her and her mother who had no problems.
