Just curious if there was anyone on the board with this. I have not been diagnosed but have been progressively getting more and more sick since I was pregnant. Going next week to be tested.
We are not in the house, but we are currently going GF. My sister is also going GF/DF. She elimated Gluten and Dairy and has felt 100% better and not as bloated. She may try Dairy again, but is hesitant because she feels so good now.
I have it. I've known for about 6 years. Which reminds me I owe Lindsey recipes (sorry, Lindsey, if you're reading this - right after I said I would send them to you we had major injury/illness drama). If you pm with your email, I can send you some recipes, too.
Its tough, but once you get used to it, it becomes second nature. And eating gluten-free is a small sacrifice considering how awful I feel if I eat it! Let me know if I can help in anyway!
I also have celiac. I was diagnosed about 3 years ago. I actually didn't have many bad symptoms/reactions, so I don't feel much different now, except that I'm not anemic anymore. We are still GF with DD, who is 13 months old, since she hasn't been tested. I hope you figure out what is wrong, since it is no fun to feel crappy. If it is celiac, it is much easier to deal with now that there are more and more food options, especially at restaurants.
Thanks ladies. SBM, I sent you a PM. Of course you don't want to be diagnosed with anything, but I would be so happy to find out that this is what is wrong with me. Esp. since you can control with diet - no pills, etc. I just want to feel better again.
I was thinking of going GF/DF in our house thinking it might make me feel better. Does anyone have any books or recipes they can recommend to me or PM me with any info. I would truly appreciate it :-)
DH was diagnosed as "gluten intolerant" about 6 months after we were married--about 7 years ago now. He's gluten and casein free. There's a ton of information out there on the internet--much more so than 7 years ago. I highly recommend the ICORS celiac archives for specifics on foods/restaurants, etc. It's high volume so I would do a digest or read the archives. https://listserv.icors.org/SCRIPTS/WA-ICORS.EXE?A0=CELIAC

I really like this website for basics:

Do not withdraw gluten from your diet prior to being blood tested if you want a diagnosis. It can skew the results.
