So, we'll be starting Ian next week at a daycare center because dh got a new job! I'm looking for any tips you may be able to offer up. What does your dc typically wear? If you have to provide food (we do until he's 18 months) - what are your go-to meals? I'm excited, but scared at the same time.
Re: I'm a daycare newbie
DS goes to a home daycare- he wears sweats most of the time b/c they are always outside playing and I would think sweats would be more comfy anyway!
We are so boring for lunch (he eats breakfast at home) but we send a sandwich and a snack- goldfish, fruit, applesauce etc. every day. Plus on sippy of water and one of milk. I try to send things that won't require any effort on the part of the DCP since he's one of the oldest.
Don't send him to daycare in his "good" clothes. Make sure anything he wears is okay to get messy/dirty/stained because it can and will happen.
As far as food, my kid is a ridiculously picky eater. All he will eat at daycare is Gerber ravioli, lunchables, and easy mac.
If you don't want it to get dirty, don't send him in it to daycare. We mostly do jeans and t-shirts.
Our daycare lady provides lunch, so I'm no help there!
