This is soo sad....I can't remember what we did. We really didn't date before deciding to be exclusive to each other. We both had an attraction to each other for over 2 yrs. One night I met him and another friend at a restaurant. I needed to be driven home, he drive me home. One thing led to another and after that we had the talk that we wanted to be more then friends from there on out. Dec will be 9 years from that night.

First time we were out together:  University of Miami football game and then (the "date" part) pizza at a posh place called Piola with him, his best friend and bf's (now ex-)wife.  DH knocked over a beer while he was (very animatedly) telling a story on my super cute shirt that I'd changed into after the game .

Official date:  Italian restaurant close to his old appt.

We went to college together so we never really had a first date per se.  The first time we were actually out together we had been hanging out in my dorm room and decided to go walk around downtown DC.  It was late (at least 10 or 11pm), it was raining, and it was the most romantic and wonderful walk I've ever taken!

DH actually stood me up for our first date.  And when he never showed, I sent him a text message asking for an explanation.  He wrote back a couple days later saying he wasn't going to bother responding because he figured I wouldn't want to see him again anyway.  But eh, I was feeling pretty deperate at the time, so we rescheduled.  We met at a restraunt, ended up sitting at the bar and chatting over appetizers and drinks for hours.  Glad I went easy on him for standing me up!  He told me he fell asleep waiting for the dryer to be done.  When he first told me that, I kinda figured it was bullsh!t, but now that I know him, I can buy it.

We went to school together.  Our first time hanging out outside of the swimclub was a 4th of July picnic at his grandparent's house.  Our first real "date" was to the movies (Everafter) and milkshakes at Steak-N-Shake.  That was 11 years ago this summer!  Dh couldn't even drive yet.  Well, niether could I.

lol - DH was super late for our date (and several dates after that) and I would be so pissed at him.  One time he was 3 hours late for a date, but after I got to know him better - I believed his excuses.  The man can not tell time and actually has no concept of time whatsoever.  I completely understand the falling asleep thing, it's something dh would have done, too.

We went to a house party soph. year of college.  Soooo romantic.  We had been friends for a while and gone lots of places together but it was the first time he'd asked me, "Do you want to go with me to X" instead of "Do you want to go with us to X" so that's what I count.

Well we met on an airplane on the way to Peru and hiked the Inca Trail together. Not sure if that would be considered our first date though. Our first actual date after we were back in the states was to a nice steakhouse for dinner.

maybe another bar for pool and darts would be a date after that? maybe my bedroom? lol i have no idea. we were already having sex when we said we were dating and i think he was living with me already too. so this is a hard question. im going to ask him what he thinks tonight. he'll answer "the bar" bc thats all we remember from those early days.

Sort of the fair. He was friends with my friends and we were both roped into it by them. We pretty much stuck together then - I started staying at his house (on the couch) and a month later we moved in here.
