...who is insanely excited about Thanksgiving and Christmas? I mean, I am excited about Halloween as well, but gosh, I just love cooking, planning, shopping and baking for Thanksgiving and Christmas!  The Christmas music cannot begin soon enough and I have a lot of my Christmas shopping done already (but that is for monetary reasons more than anything).  Am I a dork or what???!!!

I am SO with you!!!  We have a local radio station that plays ALL x-mas music from thanksgiving to x-mas and I LOVE it!!!  Love the cooking, shopping, wrapping gifts, baking, decorations, all of it.  Then once x-mas actually hits I become a BIG scrooge because things just get too crazy and busy and no one is willing to make changes and we aren't willing to piss anyone off by telling them we wont make it

i'm very excited for Thanksgiving cause I will get to go to my parents for the first time in a year   And I'll get to see lots of friends and family that weekend.  Christmas I'm not as gung ho about cuase I hate shopping and spending money.  I'm sure I'll get into the spirit though when it rolls around.  ugh I don't even wnat to think about the shopping though!

I'm definitely excited too!  I would love the change in weather, but I'll accept the holidays as they are.  BUT, at least this year we get to go to CO for Christmas - so, we get snow for Christmas!  YAY!  LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!

I am insanely excited too. I hate Halloween so I am ready to skip it and move on. I have a big family (5 siblings, 11 nieces and nephews) so we have a lot of fun around the holidays. Shopping, the Nutcracker, the baking, new and old traditions, gift swaps. I wish that I was better about having shopping done but I am ready for the season!

Yes!!!  I cannot wait either.  Especially once the Lite starts playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving.

I love that everyone seems to be (for the most part) in good spirits.  It kind of brings out the best in people IMO.

I agree - Tallen will definitely *get* it more as well, which I think is part of the reason why I am so excited!  I am also looking forward to doing what I did last year - putting Tallen to bed, DH will be at work late (he is a chef) and I will be playing Christmas music and baking cookies.  Last year I ended up giving my homemade cookies away to a tow truck driver. We were in an accident on the way back home to Michigan and this angel pulled us out and did not charge us --- it was nice to give him some cookies, but my family missed out! This year will be different!

Also, thank you! I think he is the cats meow as well.  ;-)  Nicholas looks adorable in those glasses, btw!

Yes, Macy's does as well - they always have such a beautiful Christmas display and they were setting it up last week when we were at the mall! I love it!

I love the holidays! The only down side is that we have a million relatives who all demand our presence.

Last year we went to my grandma's (maternal) on x-mas eve, to his aunt's and my dad's on christmas. unfortunately this year his mom is at odds with her other relatives (basically everyone goes to his aunt's house except her) so she'll want us to come to her. PLUS his dad and stepmom moved here so they'll want some love too. farkety fark. we need to get together and make plans NOW so that they can't jerk us around and divide and conquer (ie, MIL call dh and lay on the guilt trip).
