Babies on the Brain

Also? Explain this to me

Apparently K woke up last night at midnight.

I didn't even hear him.  DH got up with him.

This AM I saw a diaper on the changing table and asked if K had woken up.  DH gets all snippy and says "yes, and I got up with him even though it was your turn."

Ok.  If I'm that dead to the world and he woke up ---- why didn't you just wake me up like you usually do rather than have your cranky pants pulled ALL the way up this AM?

I need a drink.

Re: Also? Explain this to me

  • Booo DH!  Sounds like something my DH would say although I am betting that he will always think it is my turn!

  • Drinks liquid breakfast.

Did you kick slap him? I would have!

  • We generally trade off nights.  He's been STTN the past 5 nights so I didn't even know it WAS my turn.  Whatever.
  • Give him a wedgie in his cranky pants.

Haha, yes, this sounds like a good idea.

  • I'm sure that you have NEVER EVER gotten up for him.

  • I'm going to play devil's advocate and say at least you take turns. ;)  My DH will sleep through a tornado, let alone DS crying in the middle of the night.

  • Obviously you needed to sleep your turn or not. Cranky pants hubby's deserve a swift kick in the butt. He helped make that baby, didn't help bake it, but he darn sure can change a diaper in the middle of the night. HUMPH!

Agreed minus the son part.  Our dog has needed to go out in the middle of the night the last three nights.  (She doesn't normally do this.)  But I purposely let her yap and bark longer than normal to see if he would wake up.  No such luck.

But this AM he says I woke him up when I got out of bed and yelled at the dog.  I could have slapped him.

You should have slapped him.  Get up and let the dog out for pete's sake!  I hate that kind of crap, my husband likes to do that occasionally and it drives me insane!!
