I'm looking for a new humidifier for my dd's room. We have a honeywell in there now and it's okay, but it goes through filters like crazy and they cost almost as much as the unit itself did. I'd like something that doesn't have a filter, but hear that these create a lot of white dust and therefore, poor air quality. Everytime I think I've decided, I read some bad review and have to start all over again. Currently, my first choice is the Crane animal humidifier, but I'm not 100% sold yet. Please help with your recommendations/experiences. Thanks!
Re: Recommend your humidifier please
I posted a similar request for suggestions and someone suggested the Crane one that looks like a teardrop. I looked everywhere for it, and couldn't find it, so I got the Crane penguin. It works fantastic. There were only two downsides. First, I set it too high the first night so I went into Adam's room in the morning to find a soaking wet floor because there was too much mist. Basically I made it drizzle in his room all night. We've had better luck with lower settings.
And Adam is very, um, concerned about the penguin in his room. He's not exactly afraid, but he doesn't really like him either. Which means he cries now in the morning because he's alone in his room with his arch nemesis, the penguin. Luckily his cold seems to have gone away, so the penguin is in the closet for now.
