Tori update

About a half hour before they were going to do the surgery to remove the gall stones last night, the surgeon called it off, saying that it was too risky. He sent her to another surgeon to have a stint put in to drain the infection. The procedure was terribly painful and now she is in just as much pain as before. So baby Tori is still in there brewing, but momma has a giant tube between her ribs that has to stay there for two weeks. To top it all off, she now is running a fever.

The one good thing is that baby Tori is going to make her debut in 2 weeks!

T&P that mommy and baby manage to get through this situation!

Scary. Poor Tori. They will be in my thoughts. I also feel bad for the doctor who had to make that call. I wouldn't want that responsibility.

Not exactly the news I was hoping for. Hopefully they can find something to ease the pain and the fever. At least baby is going to get to brew a bit longer. T&P that mommy and baby stay/get healthy.

OMG. I had gall stones and it was awful. I can't imagine. T & P for her!

I did not want to comment yesterday, but I had the same issue while pregnant, and they would NOT do surgery because of the same reasons. I was terribly sick, and in the hospital on and off from weeks 29-34 when I was induced as the infection had gotten in to my liver and pancreas. It was a TERRIBLE experience, but I had it removed at 4 weeks PP. AS SOON as the baby came, I was getting some relief.
