Help choosing a diaper bag

So I bought two diapers bags: a summer one (Lands End canvas bag) and a winter one (Ju Ju Be BeAll).  I HATE the BeAll so much I returned it. I hated the flap but I love the quality of the bag.

I wish Ju Ju Be had a bag just like it without the flap. I am not in the Coach/Burberry/Kate Spade league but I would like something nice.

Any suggestions for a nice higher end diaper bag?

  • I have the Jujube Packabe and love it.
  • It's not very high end but we have the Skip Hop Duo and I LOVE it.

  • I have the Ju-Ju-Be BeSpicy in brown/champagne and love it.

I seldom use the tote handles and just use the long strap with the memory foam pad, which is very comfortable. I got mine from eBags.com and they included the stroller clips, which are such a good thing and makes it easier to travel with.

The only feature I don't use is the bottle pockets.  I generally bring a separate insulated bag with Aaron's bottles and ice packs. Sometimes I'll pop a smaller insulated bag INSIDE the diaper bag. But the bottle pockets are currently unnecessary for my use. That may change as he gets older and I use them for water bottles or something else.

  • I've had diaper bag issues as well. I started with the Skip Hop Duo and hated it, I now have the Bumble Bag and I like not love it. Most of the time I find myself using DH's diaper dude.....
  • I really want a Fleurville Lexie or MS3.

  • I have the Fleurville Lexie and I LOVE IT!  I got it as a deal on Mamabargains.  I wanted something that I could double as a purse and a diaper bag and this fit the bill perfectly.  I hated switching my wallet and personal things back and forth between diaper bag and purse when I didn't want to lug around both, but the Fleurville doesn't look like a diaper bag so just use it all the time now.

So do you take out the diapers when you use it as a purse?

  • I have the Fleurville Sling Tote and LOVE it!  I also got it on www.mamabargains.com for a GREAT deal! very practical and has tons of pockets... love the side hooks for the stroller and the fact that the straps never fall of my shoulder... also it's extremely sturdy and never tips over.  :o)

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.  I usually just have two or three in there that I replace as they get used (unless I'm going on a longer trip) so unless I'm going to be in and out of my purse a lot, I usually just leave them in there.

  • Since your like Lands End I would recommend Eddie Bauer or Pottery Barn- I had two Eddie Bauer ones and they still look great, hav elots of room and compartments. I love the Pottery Barn ones and bought one for a friend and she loves it too!
  • I just got the Ju Ju Be Spicy (in black). Love love love it! Its great quality, and big enough so that I wont feel like I have to dig around to find what I want. It is a little heavy, but I dont even care!
