Hello Newbie needs some help :)
Hello ladies I've been on here for a while kind of collecting information. Now it seems DH & I are just a couple of months from TTC. So I figured now was as good a time as any to introduce myself & get your input.
I was always the girl that said I wasn't having children. I loved my life, sportbikes, fast cars and shopping! That is until Eric & I got married and we bothrealized there was so much more to life.
So we decided to TTC after the new year (when 2 of our major bills are paid). We have a new mortage on a house in the country on 2 acres perfect for a family, in the same school district we grew up in. We are blisfully happy (of course we have our disagreements but who doesn't).
My only question is.... How did you ladies know you could do it. I mean theres more to it than being finacially stable & having a stable home life. How did you really know you could do it. How did you decide to stay home or still work, whether you could be a good parent or not? Theres so many veriables and though I know in my heart that DH & I are ready I still get incredibly scared every time I think about it. Does this ever go away?

I don't think you KNOW you can do it. You just think you can and fumble your way through it. Lol. You learn as you go.
I got more and more nervous/scared as my EDD approached and I thought "I can't do this" his first week here. But I can do it and we are doing a great job. DS is happy and healthy.

I didn't have those doubts. I try very hard to be a good parent and I think that I am or I wouldn't have had kids. I think you'll "know" when you're ready. I knew I wanted to stay home but didn't think that would financially be an option not to work part-time but pretty much as soon as I found out I was pregnant I knew there was no way I could leave my baby with someone else so we started figuring out another option.
Good luck! Try waiting 6 months and I bet things will get a lot clearer. Seriously.

Seeing as how it is possible to Google someone and find their Facebook page (not to mention their address and phone number), I think she gave you pretty good advice, even if it wasn't relevant to the question you asked.
