Katia or Keira?

I've been trying to post a clicky poll, but something is up and it's not letting me post. I hope that twenty posts don't show up an hour from now.

We just found out we're having a girl and we're trying to incorporate our initials. Which sounds better?

Katia Alexa or Keira Alexa

Or do you have any other K or A suggestions that are no longer than 6 letters each? (we have a long last name). TIA

    I like Kiera.

Kelsey?  Kate?  Kailee?  Korin?  Those are just some that popped in.

    I much prefer Keira :)

My suggestion would have to be Kylie! Katelyn is a little longer (though I prefer the C spelling), you could also go with Kate as a full name.

    CP 3/07
    BFP 5/07 - Kylie born 2/08.       BPF 2/09 - Alexandra born 10/09.
TTC since 8/13 - diagnosed difficulty conceiving due to LP defect. Took vitamin B and Vitex Berry to help lengthen.
BFP 2/14 - Missed M/C found at 8.5 weeks. D&C at 9w2d. Partial Molar Pregnancy.
    BFP 11/14

Congrats on finding out you're having a girl!!!

Both names are beautiful.... but I think I like Keira just a bit more :)

Both are nice- how about Kaila? (pronounced kye-lah)

How do you pronounce Katia? Kay-tee-ya? Kaysh-uh?

For pronunciation purposes, I prefer Kiera.

How about Kaya - it is my SD's name. I would spell it Kyah though to alleviate pronunciation issues. Just a suggestion.

I don't care for either name.

I really like both. But if I had to pick I'd say Katia because it's more unique. I grew up in Germany, where I fell in love with the name Katja (Katya).

I love Keira, and was my name of choice.  Unfortunately my DH has veto'ed it.

We are now thinking of Kaylin if LO is a girl.

    I definitely like Keira better.

    How about:

    Kenley

    Kara

    Kylie

    Kate

    Kendra

    Kendall

I'd pronounce Ka ti a, in Spanish. Looking for a name that is easy to pronounce in both Spanish and English. I like Kaya/Kaia also, but it's a bit too close to my older daughter's name: Maia, lol. I just know that everyone would switch their names cause my name rhymes with my older sister's.

That's why I liked it too. Half my family is German, all have German names. But I spelled it Katia cause the other half of my family is Spanish and it's easier for them to read that way.

They're both pretty, but I'd spell them differently. Katja and Kiera.

I like them both a lot, but Kiera Alexa sounds better.  I also thought Katia was Katie at first glance, not sure if she'd get that a lot.

    Katia Alexa gets my vote.

I know a Keira and she isn't the nicest of girls so she's ruined the name for me.

Unless you have some Eastern European heritage, I would go with Keira.  Katia is very ethnic- but I like it!

What about Kelly, Katie, Kina, Kim, Kara, or Kassie?

For A, I like Allie, Anna, Amelie, Abby, Ashlyn, and Ava.

Neither name flows for me (too many 'A' sounds for me) but between the two I like Keira better
