So tomorrow I will become the proud owner of a Canon XTi. I am getting
it used off craigslist. It
comes with the standard lens, a telephoto zoom and a fish eye. I
really want to learn how to use it properly. Any tips, tricks, books
or websites that you recommend?
Re: DSLR Users...
DH is a semi-pro nature photographer who uses a Canon Rebel Xti.
He uses iPod thingies...what are they called? PODCASTS.
He just told me to tell you to search photography and a lot will come up.
excuse me while I hide my jealousy of your fish eye lens...
I am obsessed with my DSLR. they are amazing. My suggestions is to find some blogs that you like that give you tips. And just play around a TON. get yourself a Tripod - it will help you to learn how to use the settings in low light & allow you to play with ISO, shutter speed, etc.
Also, they have cheat books at Barnes & Noble for all the popular DSLR cams out there, which I found pretty helpful just to get to know all the buttons...
have fun!
