My LO started daycare last week, and by friday was congested and had a cough. The congestion got better over the weekend, but he has still been coughing occasionally. Other than that, he is perfectly happy. His daycare teacher told me today that it would be best to get his cough checked out just to be sure (since there's so much going around and he's so little), so I brought him in to see the doctor today. My pedi said that he has a mild case of Croup--which is not as scary as it sounds and pretty common, I learned. So, my question is...is it ok to send my LO to daycare when I know he has Croup? That's obviously where he got it. HE's fine, but is it bad to send him if he could get other kids sick? I feel like he's pretty much at the end of it anyway, and the other kids would have already been exposed...
any opinions appreciated--I'm new to all this daycare stuff!
thanks!
Re: Croup: ok to send to daycare
you should have asked the doctor.
also- what is your daycare's policy?
Should not even be a question. How do you feel about your DC going to daycare when some other parent sent their kid in sick? I work in a school and hate parents who send kids in that can get others sick. It is a selfish move.

its very hard on the teachers and babies to have a "even a little bit sick" baby" at school. and we always got comments on "how its not fair that i send my child to school healthy and so and so sent her kid sick so now im supposed to watch out for this and that and im gonna have to miss work ...." etc.
