When can they have shrimp?

DD is 12.5 months and I was wondering when its safe to intro shrimp? I know its high on the allergen list so I don't want to give it to her if its not safe.  I'm making shrimp scampi for dinner and just wondered if I need to make her something else.

I checked wholesomebabyfood.com but it didn't really give a age.

My only suggestion would be to not give it for dinner....if by chance she has a reaction, you'd hate to have to spend an evening dealing with it.

DS likes shrimp and seafood but we don't have any allergies in our families. I think we gave him shrimp a few months after his first birthday.

Thanks girls. She's never had any allergies with anything so far.  I gave her little pieces and she barely touched them cause she was too busy eating the spaghetti.
