like, before 38 weeks, what were your "symptoms"? Did you have complications early on or just have a feeling about it or have intensifying BH contrax? Anything?
I'm sure I'm just being paranoid, but EVERYONE is telling me that I can't possibly have 6 weeks left. I know people make annoying comments like that to all pg women, but even MH, my mom, my trainer, etc., people who aren't just making dumb comments are saying that.
I'm measuring a week ahead, the drs think it is going to be a big baby, 9 lbs +, and I'm having very regular BH contrax that are getting more intense every day--not painful per se, but definitely uncomfortable.
Plus, I am miserable. Like 39 weeks pg miserable. I know it's my 3rd and some of that is probably just the way it is, but... I'm starting to panic. A little early wouldn't be so bad because MH leaves for 2 weeks on Nov. 30, but I don't want to go too early and have a baby in NICU or be on bedrest to keep her in. And it took me so freaking long to schedule the c/s that now I just want her to come on her day!
Sorry for the long ramble/vent, but if anyone could talk me down or prepare me or anything that would be great.
Re: if you went into labor early
Amanda I know you are miserable but please do not wish to go into labor early.. make it to at least 36 weeks okay... please...
NICU is not a fun thing to go through. I wish I could tell you something to comfort you and let you know that this time will go by fast. Is there any way you can get some rest
hang in there, friend! just rest and drink your water! don't overdo it!!!
xoxo
Well, I can tell you that I had timeable light contractions (but more than BH) for 3 weeks before I was due and DD was 3 days late They were 6 minutes apart. Lots of fun.
Hang in there.
On a side note, my sister delivered a perfectly healthy baby 4 weeks early.
Good luck!
That makes me feel a lot better! All these contrax are making me panicky. I've been having them for over a week already, but this still makes me feel better.
I could have wrote this word for word....except replace James with Briana, 35 weeks with 32 weeks, and 9 days with 5 weeks. I was diagnosed with a bicornuate uterus 5 days before I went in to labor, but my doc never mentioned that it could cause premature birth.
Missed M/C 11/5/2010 @ 5 weeks, 3 days* D&C 12/3/2010 at 9 weeks, 3 days
I gave birth at exactly 35 weeks. I was HUGE HUUUUUGE and my preemie was 7lbs, 2oz! no nicu stay at all, though a bigger baby doesn't always mean less problems, kwim? hang in there.
oh and my water just broke and its TMI, but I was in the bathroom a lot the week before.
