ugh-- slightly annoyed

i had my first pregnancy appointment today for DC#2 and was expecting an ultrasound.  At the appt the OB said that the ultrasound tech only works mornings on Tuesdays, so to come back tomorrow for the U/S.  but i'm working tomorrow and the rest of the week and can't come in till next Monday.  So all i got was an internal exam, too early to hear heartbeat.

the thing is, i wanted to announce it to family at DD's bday party this weekend.  should i do it w/o seeing the heartbeat?  its only immediate family, so i probably will tell them with caution.

That is disappointing, sorry.

As far as whether to tell- would you tell them if the worst happened? ?If you would, then there's not a lot of point in waiting. ?If you wouldn't want them knowing, then I wouldn't say anything until a good u/s at the end of the 1st tri.?
