alternative to Magic Eraser :)

I used to use a Magic Eraser when I got scuffs/stains on the wall.  (i didn't think it worked all that great, usually took some color off with the mark).

anyway....yesterday when i was cleaning, I had a MF cloth wet with just water and thought "hmmm...wonder what it would do to this scuff."  it took the mark off!  completely. no color change. minimal elbow grease.  woohoo!

(on 2nd thought, there may have been a touch of Dr. B's on the rag too.  i can't remember. i was doing too much cleaning yesterday. but the gist is that a MF cloth cleaned as well if not better than a Magic Eraser!!!)

Re: alternative to Magic Eraser :)

  • Thanks for the tip! My DH loves these so I'll have to have him try this the next time he's on a binge with the M.E.

  • good to know! I've been thinking about buying one of those magic erasers but DH won't let me, ha! Now I'll just go get some MF towels, I've been wanting some anyway.

  • i've found that the MF washcloths take off the soap scum build up off my glass shower doors just as well as the magic erasers (use with some Dr B's for extra cleaning power! )

  • Ooohhhh! I can't say this makes me excited to clean our bathtub, but it seems like I might hate it less this week :)

  • yeah.... i wish this was true in my house but we tend to only use our magic erasers for magic marker and crayon clean up. and none of the MF cloths I"ve tried have ever made a dent in those.
