Are they going to cerclage you? ?What do the calcifications mean? ?I'm sorry it's not the best news. ?You, your h and baby girl are in my thoughts and prayers.?
Did they give you any idea about the placenta moving? I think there is still a pretty good chance of it heading north as your belly really starts to expand.
I'm not sure what the placenta alignment means but the calcifications of the heart are usually nothing. My older son had it and it turned out to be nothing, my younger son had them in his bowel and again it was nothing. My doctor explained that they can be markers for certain things but that u/s is so advanced that it sometimes picks up things that mean nothing.
OK, I'm your resident Bump expert on echogenic focii (calcium deposits on heart). They, at one time, were considered a soft marker for DS. There is NO connection to any heart defect-- NONE whatsoever. I promise. It does not mean a single thing is wrong with baby's heart. Also, they have stopped considering them a marker for DS.
I went through this with Jack 1.5 years ago. Everything is going to be fine with that. I promise you.

I'm sorry :0(
Is there anything to do to stay safe or anything of that sort? Did they give you any instructions on what to/not to do?

Sorry to hear about your placenta position, and the calcifications.
Fortunately, your placenta still has time to move up, and the calcifications could clear up on their own, as well.
I'll be thinking of you!
FWIW, I'm going in for an u/s today to see if my placenta has moved up. I'll post the results when I return sometime around 3:30pm PST.

I'm so sorry! My placenta's in the way too and they said that 90% will resolve on their own by 28 weeks.
I have also read about lots of women who see calcifications that later disappear so hopefully everything will be just fine!
