need nap advice (occurring right now)

DS fussed a little going down for his second nap today - much more than normal.  And, now he's woken up about 35 minutes later.  Do I just let him cry for a little bit to see if he'll go back to sleep b/c a 35 minute nap won't really cut it until bed time?  Or, do I get him up and put him down a little earlier for bed?  TIA!

  • Give him a couple minutes to see if he goes back to sleep.

  • I suppose it depends on what you have planned for the rest of the day.  My kids are fine when they are overtired as long as I fully interact with them straight through until bed time (very tiring).  If he is OK until a certain point, get to that point and put him in the stroller and go for a walk...maybe he will catnap to make it through until bedtime.

If he is miserable and makes everyone around him miserable, it is probably best to let him cry for a bit and see if he goes back to sleep.  GL!
