  • Here's a method that might work for you, we used it for DD's crib when were delerious w/ a new baby.  Mattress cover, sheets, mattress cover, sheets, mattress cover, sheets.  When the top ones get dirty, strip them off, VOILA, NEW SHEETS w/o laundry!  When those get dirty, strip them off, VOILA, NEW SHEETS w/o laundry!  ETC.

And at the rate you're going, you only have to do this ONCE A YEAR!

  • Yeah, that's kinda nasty, to be honest.  I feel skeeved out if we go longer than two weeks with our bed sheets.  The main reason is because we have two cats that like to sleep in our bed with us, so the cat fur alone is reason enough to wash our sheets on a weekly basis.  Plus, I love the smell of clean sheets!

How I keep up is by setting aside one day to wash, dry, fold, put away all laundry.  If I break it up during the week, the clean laundry sits in a basket in the laundry room until I have time to fold it.

Having a designated laundry day has made my life so much easier.  I gather all the laundry on Sunday night (which means changing the sheets on the beds) and put it by the washing machine before I go to bed.  Then I can get started first thing the next morning.  And I don't go to bed Monday night until the laundry is folded and put away.  If I don't do this, I feel like I'm dealing with laundry constantly during the week and never get anything else done.
  • Okay if anyone is still reading this....I washed my sheets!  I have devised a plan of action:  laundry will be washed/dried on Sunday and Monday (my off day) will be folding and put away.

Just so everyone knows, we don't always go this long- I just have been really tired and don't like to carry the heavy baskets of clothing to the laundry room.  I think I am going to blame pregnancy!  Hopefully my new system works well, adding another child is only going to create more laundry~
