using free fonts

I found a font that I would like to use:

https://www.urbanfonts.com/fonts/AlphaMack.htm

I have saved it and now how do I "install" it? All I see are 2 files: a .ttf and .txt.

thanks so much!!

Re: using free fonts

  • never mind ... finally found the directions.

    How do I install a font for Windows?
    Before you install any fonts, make sure that all your applications are closed.

    • Unzip the file that you downloaded. To unzip, right click on the file and choose to "extract" the contents to a folder.
    • You should find the .ttf font file(s) inside the folder of the extracted zip file.
    • Go to Start > Control Panel
    • Double-click the Fonts folder.
    • Browse in your hard drive for the fonts you wish to install.
    • Select the fonts (.ttf files) that you want to install and drag them into your fonts folder.

  • I see I'm too late! I just spent the last 20 minutes trying to figure out the exact same thing. The sad part is that I have done it before, I just couldn't remember how.
