How to store clean bottles??

*** this is probably a dumb amature question, sorry :)

Hi, I'm butting in from the 3rd trimester board, but I am in a nesting frenzy and have a question for your experienced moms.  I washed/sterilized all of my bottles and their parts today.  I still probably have a few weeks to go and want to put the bottles away in the kitchen.  Do I keep the parts (nipples, lids, collars) seperate?  Or, can I match up all of the parts and have them ready to go?  Part of the reason I ask this is due to the fact that we have about 3 different brands of bottles we are planning on trying out.  Thanks so much for your imput!

Re: How to store clean bottles??

  • I wash, sterilize, then lay everything out on a clean/dry towel.  They also make drying racks.

ETA:  Just saw you already sterilized and have a while to go...just store them in a rubbermaid container.  You'll want to rewash them when baby gets here, at least I would.

  • i keep all the parts separated in either baggies or containers and the bottles out in the cupboard. so i can grab what i want and not ahve to unscrew or disassemble anything (AND let them dry thoroughly, we dont want any mold growing!)

  • I assemble the nipples/collars/tops if I'm not going to use them for awhile.  But for the most part, I assemble as I go.  I have 2 sets that I rotate every other day, so one set is drying in the rack and the other set gets made up for daycare the next day.

  • They sit on our dryer spinner until I use them next time. I also have a large bowl that I put all the smaller, less used bottle parts in next to it.

  • I store in a medium sized plastic crate I got from target for like 3dollars. It fits on my bakers rack and holds all my bottles. I assemble everything after they have dried thoroughly
