DD won't take a pacifier...

Is this because she is breastfed or what?  We have tried every kind of paci out there and she refuses all of them.  Any ideas?  She mostly gags on them...like they are too big, but we are using the smallest ones (0-3  months).

My dd wouldn't take one either.  I tried every kind and I tried for months.  Finally I gave up.  I think I definitely wanted it more than her.

DS never took one.  He doesn't suck his thumb either.  He was just never interested.

Some babies just don't like them.  My oldest took them occasionally until 3 months, when he refused them altogether.  My middle DS still loves them and sleeps with about 5 of them in the bed.  My youngest never would take one.  I wish he would, especially in the middle of the night when he wants to nurse forever and I know he's full.  All of mine were/ are breastfed.

Neither would my DD.  She would suck on a pinky finger after a few weeks which would give me a little relief from the constant nursing.  She found her thumb at about 12 weeks.

DS never took one, and we tried hard to have him take one. Of course, now he sucks on his lovey all night - so gross.

Both of my kids were/are BF and DS wouldn't take a paci until he was over 5 months old and DD didn't take one until she was 2 months old.
