Double negatives in general! "I didn't have nothing to do with that"
Some South Jersey-isms:
"We are going down the shore, this weekend." How hard is it to say "to the shore?"
"When I am done work, I'll be home" - There are so many other correct possibilities.
Yous - like a pp said.
Pronouncing words like egg, and leg as ayg, or layg. Prononcing phone, and home, like phoon, and hoom.
Some DH-isms:
Sue it yourself - instead of "suit yourself"
wind shield factor - instead of wind-chill factor
glove department - instead of glove compartment
indigenent - insead of indigent (I guess he was thinking of indigenous?), and saying indigent, instead of indignant.
pronouncing vanilla as vah-nell-ah, and then telling me that I am pronouncing it incorrectly, and refusing to accept that his pronunciation makes absolutely no sense in light of the fact that he says hill - not hell, and pill, not pell, and manila - not ma-nell-ah.
