standing in first room, looking into second

Looking at the same window

We exposed the hidden chimney. At some point there was a fire place down stairs that has been plastered over, as well as a fire in the chimney.

BTW-- all the stuff is my college-aged sister who is living with us.
We still have to finish the first room, but we are just excited to have one room down. Remodeling has NOT been a fun job. There are definitely some imperfections, but for doing it ourselves, in an ATTIC with weird angles, it turned out well.
ETA: Fixed the pictures sizes, and yes, my son is only in a diaper and shirt. Just woke up from a 3.5 hour nap.

Looks great!
I love attics. I think all of the angles are so cool. We keep telling my parents to fix up their attic because it would be a great family/kid space.
The other room will have a love seat, tv, mini fridge, microwave, etc up there.
The table she has will go right in front of that little alcove, but we have to get done re-doing it.
You guys are kicking BUTT that's awesome. ?I like the exposed chimney better too - we have one that got walled off at some point but it's being used for the furnace now.
The angles are stupid hard to paint & drywall but they end up looking cool in the end :-)
We are in love with the exposed brick! It shows through to the other room, too, and we are super psyched to get it done up there. It won't be soon enough.
Hopefully, seeing it basically done today will give my hubs some motivation to get the other room done.
It will be a great hang out room/men den/ bedroom for when we start popping out more kids.
We are doing the same thing!!! I can't wait to be done and able to post my pics (I am so jealous). It looks awesome btw
