It's been a while, update

Well, it has been a while since I posted, but wanted to update everyone. First, thank you to all who posted responses when I was concerned about my husband not having health insurance and the impact on adopting. Since then we attended an informational meeting in August and then a transracial seminar in September. A week and a half ago we received a phone call from the agency. They wanted to see if we wanted to turn in an application now rather than waiting until January. Originally we were told we had to wait until January because they had a rule about the length of marriage. We won't meet their 2 year requirement until March. Because they have received a lot of birth moms wanting services and not as many families willing to accept a child of any ethnicity, we are, they wanted us to start he process now. We are so excited. If everything goes smoothly we could be certified as early as December! Congratulations to all who have recently brought their children home and to those in the process.

Thank you. We are so excited. I can't wait. I'm hoping this week goes by quickly. My family is so awesome and as excited as we are. My brother said he thinks it is a great idea. Can't wait to see what happens in the future.
