DD is 3.5 and we are redoing her bedroom.  We had these really cheap tall (5 shelves, 72" height) bookcases that we had in our old office that DH wanted to use in her room.  I nixed the idea of using them because they are so tall that I was afraid she would be inclined to climb them.  I know I can tell DD all day long not to climb them.  And chances are if I told her about the dangers she wouldn't climb them  But I don't want to risk the one time she does it anyway when I'm not around.  Plus with another LO on the way I don't want to risk it.They are so cheaply made that I didn't think DH could anchor them to the walls safely. 

DH says I'm being overprotective.  What do you think?  Would you have tall bookcases (that are flimsy) in DC's room?

No way. Especially since DD decided to climb her dresser in her room (that wasn't anchored, it is now -- bad mommy) and it fell on top of her and DS.

No.  She has a bookshelf that is only about 3 feet tall in her room and I'm trying to figure out if we get rid of it, or anchor it when she gets a big girl bed.

No way would I have them in there if they couldn't be anchored.

Only if they could be anchored well.  Any possibility of putting it on it's side and making cubbies out of it?
