Our park is THE spot to be on Saturday mornings. It's always really crowded with families, dogs, etc. Today I was pushing the stroller with DS in it and DD was walking beside. She was dawdling because she was watching a great dane with awe and wonder. Apparantly, this p*ssed off the retirmenet age couple power walking up the path behind us. While they waited for DD to make way for them, they were FULL of comments about how rude everyone with kids and dogs is. I didn't say anything at the time but in hindsight, I am so mad I didn't suggest that if they hate kids and dogs so much, maybe they should plan a walking route that doesn't go smack dab through the middle of the only park in town.
Re: Comment at the park.
This exactly. I had the kids at McDonald's for lunch the other day (save the flames) and as we were getting ready to leave, DS started fussing. This old couple came up as I was getting him out of the highchair, the lady looked right at me and said "let's go sit somewhere else less noisy". Um, good luck with that. You are at a McDonald's with a Playland, noise comes with the territory.
