This is in reference to a post on FB about slings (not my post). Every single one of my relatives on my dad's side uses the word "like" to mean just about anything they want it to mean, but it never makes sense.

Yeah...I keep re-reading it, and I can't imagine it being non-redneck. Of course, I'm reading it in the voice of my cousin's husband, who uses this phrase at least twice while talking to him. Still, "I didn't think I would ever get it off" would make more sense than "I like to never have got back out of it."
