If your toddler is in a twin or toddler bed

Did you transition to the new bed for nap or bedtime first?  I can see trying either first.

With the little boy I nanny for, we did nap time first.

We did it all at once. DD moved to a new room and I thought it would be confusing to go back and forth between the rooms. Although the 1st time she slept in the twin bed was for a nap.

We made it all at once as well. ?Though, we did bedtime first for no real reason and then the next day she did naps in there.

I guess I'm confused by some of the responses....we did it all at once, but the 1st time they were in bed was night time.  We didn't go back and forth from bed to crib, after that 1st night they were in beds permanently.

We did just the naptime for probably 6 weeks before he went into the toddler bed at bedtime.  His mom and dad didn't want to  be woke up in the am.

bedtime...it wasn't as hard as I had thought it would be.

Ditto pp - all at once, but started at night then continued throughout the next day, and so on.

Thanks.  I was planning to do both at once but just trying to decide if I should try bedtime the first night and then the naps the next or naps first, then bedtime.  I'm thinking of trying bedtime first.  Thanks!
