Synagis Approved but Question

I just opened the letter from our insurance company and they approved 5 shots starting in November. They did not approve October. Here is my question, when did/will you start the shots and for how long. Also, I have already met my insurance deductible and everything after the fact is covered at 100%, so if we did it, wouldn't it be covered anyhow?

5 is the norm this year from what I've read. Here the RSV season didn't start until Nov so that is when our shots started. 

And no, even if you've met your deductible, if you did the shot without being approved it would not be paid for.

DD was just approved, and like others said, she will get 5 monthly shots starting in November.

I've always been told that RSV season doesn't officially start until Nov., so that's when Synagis shots start.  We're waiting to find out if Aubrey is approved this season - it sounds likely.  Yay for your approval!

DS got the 1st one April 3 right before we brought him home. They said they still had some cases of RSV in the area. He'll get 5 more starting in Nov..

Me too! starts next month...they sent me a paper on a study about the shot and why that study backed their decision
