UGH I need to vent!!!

Ok so 5 months ago when my bf had her baby another friend of her's asked if I would help her throw a little come see the baby party and I said ok. So nothing happened all summer and now the baby is 5 months old and this girl calls me up and tells me October 4th will be the party. (I'm thinking um ok but seems a little late) so then I don't hear anything again and email the girl and am like um you gonna send out invitations? the party is 2 weeks away? She goes OMG I didn't realize that and I'm in palm springs for the week I need you to do invitations, and get them mailed out (I suggested an evite and she said no to that) Oh and get this she asked that the invitations say something about cupcakes because she wants to go with that theme.

So I do all the invitations address them get them mailed out (even one to this girl's mother in canada that costs .75 cents to mail!!) and then today the girl calls me and says well I will do drinks and a cheese plate and you do apps and callmy bf's mom and have her mom do the cupcakes!!! Seriously???

I feel kinda dumb even throwing a party for a 5 month old and she insisted I not say anything about no presents because she was sure my friend would want presents (Um she just had her 2nd boy and her and her husband are pretty well off, I think she is going to DIE when people show up with presents)

Anyway thanks for letting me vent I feel really pushed around by this gal and I can't vent to my bf about it!! I don't know how it went from me helping to me doing most of the food, invitations and such!

Wow never heard of celebrating a birth that late! I feel for you & hope the situation improves for you Tiff. Sometimes for the sake of friendships you just have to bite your lip and go with the flow unfortuneatly.
