I freaking HATE bru!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! vent

SO i really want the graco sweetpeace soothing center and have a bunch of gift cards for there plus coupons which is the only way i can afford the thing. I called around to every store within an hour and they all said they did not have it but they would be getting a shipment in the morning..... so this morning i call around ALL AGAIN and spend over an hour calling 4 stores. One store tells me they have it so i get in the car and head over there only to find they do not actually have it, but that they can order it for me and have it shipped to my house. GREAT! here is my coupon... ohhh thats for in store only... but i AM in the store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry cant use it! oh and they also wouldnt price match it either since they had to order it total BS!!!!!! So i called customer service and they said they would put in the complaint and someone would call me back within 7 business days..... well i start to cry because it has just been one of those days and have a total melt down in bru, my mom says can you try calling some stores that are further out and just find one in GA. The guy finally found 1 swing 2 hours away and he put it on hold and my wonderful mother is driving to go get it tomorrow :) im so happy but i still hate bru and will NEVER buy anything ever again from them

  • That's crazy!  I'm sorry you had such a hard time.  But awesome that your mom is going to get one for you!  And they CAN price match items that are on sale in the store.  I went in to buy a carseat that they said was in stock, and it was on sale.  I made the hour and a half drive to the store and when I got there they said they'd been out for a few days.  They just ordered one for me and had it shipped to my house, honoring the sale price, and they didn't charge me shipping.

  • Sounds like you love them as much as I do! It took 1 1/2 months to get my completion coupon. Then when I went to the store to get the rest of my things, they were out of pretty much everything I wanted in my colors. Not to mention I had to call 4 times to get my completion coupon and two of the four times they lied to me and said it was on it's way, the final time I called they told me that they ran out of the paper they print the coupons on but my name is the second from the top of the list, so when they start printing again in a couple days I will get it...excuse me, you told me you already mailed it, why lie, I wouldn't be mad if you would have just told me the truth.

  • I am a customer service stickler and that would have made me go crazy. What happened to catering to the customer? It seems like all of these stores don't care if we come back, they just treat people like crap. I had a Home Depot cashier tell me to F off. Only she really said the real word! All because I used my pin number with my debit card and she still asked me for ID. Which I had but I don't need to show her anything if I use my pin#. She was just being a B. Then she started telling the customer in line behind her "Sorry for the delay but she is being difficult." I had already got my ID out and she had already snatched it out of my hand. Then I asked another employee to page a manager and was told he was too busy I should call him tomorrow. So I did and left a message and never heard a thing. Argh! Sorry this turned into my own rant, but seriously, what ever happened to customer service? Your mom is so sweet to drive that far for your swing. Is the 4 hour round trip worth the savings that the coupon offers?

    Advice: don't go back. Ever. Tell your pregnant friends not to shop there... 

    There ARE places to get stuff for babies other than BRU - - it's just super convenient, so everybody goes there...

     

    We had an evil customer service experience there, as well... we were buying a baby gate for DD (you can imagine: it's a big box they come in) and we went up to the cashier to pay... DD was in the seat in the cart. DH pulled the baby gate out so the cashier could scan it, and she literally threw it back into the cart, coming super close to hitting DD with it. (She threw it hard enough that the cart careened over to the next bank of checkstands... maybe 3 or 4 feet)... Sorry, you don't do something like that with a kid in the cart, KWIM?

    DH said something to the cashier, who didn't even acknowledge that this might be a problem. DH then decided we weren't going to buy the gate, and walked out of the store.

    In order to walk out, we had to walk by a manager, who didn't say a word to us.

    The Girl is 5. The Boy is 2. The Dog is 1.

  • I took a services marketing class in b-school and one of our assignments was to write a service letter letting a store know if you got exceptionally good or bad service.  I now do this regularly if I am disgruntled, and you would be surprised what you can get.  I have received free miles for flight cancellations, lost luggage, gift cards, coupons, etc.  It's worth a shot to write to BRU corporate.
